Sculptra®

Stimulate collagen production for long-term improvement in skin thickness, elasticity, and overall appearance

What It Is

Sculptra® is a biostimulator which restores skin structure and yields long-lasting results.

How It Works

Sculptra® encourages your cells to produce more collagen. Collagen is a protein in your skin — as well as in your connective tissues, bones and cartilage — that provides structure, support and strength. Sculptra® is mixed with sterile water and injected into areas of volume loss. Benefits from treatment can last up to two years.

What To Expect

Immediately after treatment, you may experience more facial volume in the injected areas. Over the course of a few days, the water carrier will be absorbed. It is important to massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. Fully results appear gradually and are evaluated 6-8 weeks after initial treatment. Multiple vials may be necessary for full correction.

FAQs

  • Sculptra® is an injectable that helps restore facial volume that has been lost due to aging and stimulates collagen production. It is different from HA fillers and is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body as it works to replace lost collagen.

  • Sculptra® (PLLA) is a bio-stimulating treatment. Sculptra® works by addressing the underlying cause of aging skin from loss of collagen. Once injected in the face, Sculptra® stimulates the natural growth of new collagen. This leads to restoration of facial volume over time and a dramatic improvement of the skin texture.

  • During your consultation, your injector and skincare expert will address your skin concerns, discuss your goals and then recommend whether Sculptra® is appropriate for you, based on your unique needs.

  • Subtle results can typically be seen within a month of Sculptra injection. These results will continue to build as new collagen can take up to 6 months to form. Results from Sculptra® can last up to 2 years.
